SUSPENSION NOTIFICATION

First off, the management of Firebird Raceway will not tolerate under any circumstances the use of electronics in any No Box class. Secondly, cheating will not be condoned and immediate action will be levied in the form of indefinite suspension from Firebird and the NHRA.

On Friday, July 3rd, Joe McDonald was caught using a delay box in Club Bracket #2. He was disqualified from the event and stripped of the eliminator victory. He will lose all of his points for the 2009 season in Pro eliminator, the Club Challenge Series and Outlaw Street competition.

McDonald will receive an indefinite suspension of one year, starting on July 6, 2009 and continue through July 6, 2010, after which he can apply for reinstatement.

His competition privileges will also be suspended with the National Hot Rod Association and all NHRA Member Tracks.

Firebird takes no pleasure in issuing this stern action, but will do what is necessary to maintain a level playing field for any and all racing participants during the course of the racing season.
